Some of the most frequent questions I get are about what trading services and software I use. So I created this page to share some of the trading tools I use in my own trading that I think will be helpful to others. While I may receive an affiliate commission from referring you to some of these services, all of these are tools I have used personally and can endorse.
Great Point Capital: This is the proprietary trading firm where I’ve traded my entire career. They have extremely competitive payouts, the best trading platform around (see below), some of the best traders in the industry, great technology support, and they’ve been in business since 2001. If you’re looking for a place to start your trading career, I can’t recommend them highly enough. For more information about trading at Great Point Capital, please contact me here.
Takion: Takion is quite simply the best stock day trading platform around. I’ve traded on a few other platforms in my career, and Takion just blows them out of the water. The combination of its blistering fast speed, fully customizable order types, dark-pool routing options, array of stock filtering options make it the Rolls-Royce of day trading software. My own results dramatically improved when I made the switch to Takion. Traders at Great Point Capital are currently the only ones with access to Takion, so if you’re interested in trading on Takion, please contact me here.
Stock Charting Software:
Esignal: Esignal is the charting program I use on a daily basis. It’s been the industry standard for a while now and it’s easy to see why – quick and accurate data, customizable charts, and great third-party integration options.
Stock Filtering Software:
Trade-Ideas: One of the key parts of being a successful day trader is consistently finding profitable opportunities in the markets day in and day out. Trade-Ideas allows me to do that by allowing me to customize stock filters for the individual trading strategies that I trade. By my conservative estimate, this software has been directly responsible for at least $100,000 in extra trading profits in each of the past 2 years. It’s that good!
Trade Journal Software:
Tradervue: Tradervue really represents the evolution of the trading journal, and it’s the best tool I’ve found to allow you to analyze your trades to see where you can improve your trading. At a glance, you can quickly generate detailed statistical reports on your trading so you can see what’s working. Tradervue has a free plan available too, so check it out to see how much it can help improve your trading results!
